Valencia is the third largest city in Spain and one of the most sights places to visit in eastern Spain. Surrounded by beautiful mediterranean beaches and charming towns, hiring a minibus is a great way to join this wonderful city accompanied with the people you most enjoy.
Driving in Spain
The driving rules in Spain are similar to the rest of western Europe, except that recently Spain has started to crack down on reckless speeding and driving in order to reduce the number of road traffic accidents.
Driving Rules & Regulations
The legal age for driving a car in Spain is 18 years old, and you drive on the right hand side of the road. Be especially careful when setting off from service stations or restaurants on the left side of the road. Mobile phones may only be used with a hands free system and it is illegal to drive with headphones connected to any sound device.
Spain has also strict drink driving laws, only allowing 0.5 milligrams of alcohol per millilitre of blood - stricter than the UK where the limit is 0.8. New drivers are effectively forbidden to drink and drive, with a very low 0.1 mg/l limit.

Seatbelts are compulsory in the front and back where fitted, and it is the drivers responsibility to ensure all passengers wear seatbelts. It is the driver who will be fined if any passenger is not wearing one.
Dogs must also be restrained when a car is moving.
Children under 12 cannot travel in the front unless using a suitably adapted restraint system. In the rear, passengers under 135cm tall must use specially adapted safety devices and restraints
Visibility vests are now compulsory in Spain. You also need to carry a spa wheel and tools needed to fit them.
You should ensure your hire car as all the above before you take it.
